The Journey
Thesis to build pan-European player to help (international) manufacturers gain access to fragmented and heterogenous European market:
- Invested in Nordic Biosite Group, a life science reagent distributor active in the Nordics, Benelux and Germany in a partnership deal with a Nordic investment firm and the management team
- Executed on a successful international buy and build strategy acquiring 5 companies across Austria, Switzerland, UK and the US to establish the leading specialist distributor in its field
- Combined the strength of a highly localized footprint with the advantages of an integrated group, supported by a strengthened group management team, professionalized central functions, investments in management systems and digital tools, and a unified brand identity under Europa Biosite
- Achieved above market organic growth, and together with M&A grew revenues to SEK c.1bn
- Drove group-wide initiatives to improve profitability resulting in industry-leading margins
- Acquired by EQT Healthcare Growth in July 2025 to support the next phase of growth
